is a state-owned import and export enterprise
established in September 1987 upon approval by the Liaoning
Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Commission.
The company belongs to
the Haicheng Magnesite Group
Co., Ltd. (Haimag)
- a state-owned large-scale enterprise with production of
leading products of magnesite refractory in 70 years. The
Haimag
is endowed with a unique magnesite resource, and the proven
geological reserves recognized by the State Reserve
Committee are 590 million tons, accounting for 20% of the
country's total reserves. Among them, high-quality magnesite
ore with MgO≧46%
accounts for more than 40% of the its total reserves. The
thickness of its ore body, the quality of its ores, and the
scale of reserves are all the best in the world. As a large
open pit mine, its designed capacity is up to 1.5 million
tons per year. Relying on the resources and technical
advantages of
Haimag,
the company has created a precedent for China's magnesite
refractory products entering the international market as
well as introducing some advanced production equipment and
technology from abroad, and has been constantly making
active contributions in stabilizing and expanding the share
of these products in the international market, while
enhancing the relative economic and technological exchanges
and cooperation at home and abroad.
The company, being headquartered in Anshan City with an
office in Dalian, Liaoning Province, is mainly engaged in
the export business of products produced by
Haimag,
including magnesite, calcined magnesite, dead burned
magnesite, fused magnesite, synthetic magnesia refractories,
magnesia refractory bricks, as well as talcum, feldspar,
brucite, calcite, jade and some metallurgical and chemical
products. The main imports are metallurgical minerals,
refractory production technology, equipment, spare parts and
so on.
